As a facutly member, Daniel provides supervision and consultations services. Daniel has received several OUTSMART MAGAZINE awards for Best Therapist (2000, 2001 & 2003).
SpaceQueer9000 joined the Houston kink community in 2018 and came out as a trans man that same year. In 2019 he began testosterone and inherited ownership of Houston QueerSpace - a LGBTQIA+ only kink education and play group that is still going strong. A few years later, he also became a member of NLA-Houston. Since joining, he has made it his mission to help bridge gaps between the local kink and leather communities. Queerness, trans identity, kink, and leather are inextricably bound as part of his journey, and he is privileged to have found his true family at the intersection of these paths. SpaceQueer9000 is father to four cats, the boy of his beloved Daddy of four and a half years (Devlyn), and has a wonderful boyfriend of nearly two and a half years.
Shuka (she/her) is an engineer, maker, musician, and a trans woman living in Houston, Texas. She re-joined the Houston kink community after socially transitioning a few years ago, and has since regularly engaged with several Houston kink groups. More recently she has assumed leadership roles, helping run local groups and as a host to events, focusing on organizations which actively include and uplift LGBTQ+ folks within the community. In kink, she is a switch in both power dynamics and in play, and enjoys a wide variety of interests and curiosities. In her non-kink free time, Shuka enjoys working on ambitious welding and fabrication projects, playing guitar, and occasional outings in motorsports.
October (they/them) is a non-binary femme lesbian bottom. Their favorite kinks include rope, impact, bimbofication and mind fuckery. As a kinky lesbian of color, they are passionate about sharing space with other BIPOC and finding ways to help femmes be heard in the community. Outside of kink, October is currently working on a Master's degree and spends their time making art and collaborating with mutual aid efforts around Houston.
Shibariafrokink (they/them pronouns) is an agender Switch with no filter. Involved in the Houston Scene since 2015, AK started causing a ruckus in the Rope Community as a self-suspending, risk profile bending menace. Now, a sunny and cynical advocate for rope education and safety, AK can most often be found starting impromptu negotiations on consent, making a fuss in telegram chats, and hanging out awkwardly at rope jams.
Dagger is a long time kinkster and member of the Houston kink community. Dagger uses it/its pronouns and identifies as genderqueer.
Boot black Liz has been boot blacking publicly since 2016, but has been in the scene for many years prior to that. She holds the Bayou City Bootblack 2019 title. One of her favorite things to do is to teach others how to fall in love with their leather and the steps to care for it along their path.
My pronouns are she/her. I am a pansexual. I have been a bootblack, private for 1 year and public for the past 2 years. I am a member of NLA-Houston, also a member of Positive Force, an honorary member of Leather boys of Houston. I am under the mentorship of Bootblack Liz. I am owned by Leather Rehman, and have been his submissive for the past 4 years. I volunteer where I can in the community as well as events. I carry yhe title of Bayou City Bootblack 2023. My goals as a bootblack are to educate, connect, service and lick a boot.
Michael Raven originally hails from Houston, Texas, where before he was legally allowed in bars, he fell in love with the Leather community. Michael is an out and proud Transman, having transitioned over 25 years ago. During his time in Houston, Michael was a proud member of NLA and the Misfits. Currently, in addition to House of Raven, he is also a current member of the Exiles San Francisco and Mama’s Family. Michael is in a 24/7 relationship with his Daddy of 21 years, Daddy Shay Raven, founder of the House of Raven. Michael has called Minnesota home for those 21 years and is a proud member of the Minneapolis Leather community. Michael is also your 2023 Mr. Route 66 Leather and has traveled all over the U.S. sharing space with the greater Leather community and representing his title by sharing and teaching along the way. Michael will step onto the big stage in May to compete with International Mr. Leather class 46.
ShatteredPulse a.k.a Panda (she/her) is a rope bondage artist, teacher and performer from Houston, Texas. She is one of the Co-Leaders of BIGHT (Bondage In Greater Houston Texas), a local group dedicated to bondage education. In addition to teaching within her community, she has presented and performed for audiences across the country at events like Bound in Boston, Rope in the Rockies, LEASH and TieHaus.
